TrakNet Guard — Help

Back to app

What you file on shift — vehicle checks, key collections, patrol and incident reports — reaches the office the moment you tap Submit. Keep this page bookmarked.

First time on your phone

  1. Open field.traknet.app in your browser
Safari on iPhone, Chrome on Android. Nothing to download from the app store.
  2. Add it to your home screen
iPhone: Share → Add to Home Screen. Android: ⋮ → Install app. It then opens full screen, like any other app.
  3. Sign in with your work email and password
Site accounts use the site address, for example liverpool1@copelandgroupservices.co.uk. You stay signed in between shifts.
  4. Allow location when your phone asks
Choose Allow, and While using the app if you're offered it.
Location is required. Every guard form records where it was filled in. With location off you can't submit — you'll see "Location needed to submit". Turn it on, then tap Try again.

Which form, when

Tap Forms at the bottom of the app. You'll only see the forms that apply to you.

Patrol drivers

Every shift
Key Collection — Signing Out
Before you leave the yard. Route key boxes, fuel card, phone.
Duty Vehicle Check
Start of shift, before you drive. Fluids, lights, tyres, damage.
Key Collection — Signing In
End of shift. Sign everything back in.

On site

Arrival and departure
Site Attendance
Tap it when you arrive. When you leave, the same card says Continue — open it and finish the departure half.
Daily Occurrence Book
Same two halves: start it at the beginning of the shift, finish it at the end.

Specific sites

Where the contract requires it
Olleco Patrol Form
Birchall, Bankhall and Foster Street checklist. Needs three photos: lab area, upper gate, main site.
Finsa Visitor Report
Visitor sign-in and sign-out log.
Hope Street Hotel Incident Report
Anything that happens on shift at Hope Street.

Engineers

Per job
Engineer forms
Install, planned maintenance, call-out, site survey and decommission forms are listed together under Engineer forms.

Filling one in

Photos
Tap the photo box and take the shot there and then. Stick to the photos the form asks for — if it's too big to send, the app says so and you can retake one.
Notes by voice
On note fields, tap the microphone and talk instead of typing. It writes up what you said — read it back before submitting.
Signature
Sign with your finger in the box. Tap clear and sign again if it smudges.
Half-finished forms
A form you started but haven't finished shows as Continue at the top of the Forms list. Nothing is lost while you're on the move.
Form submitted ✓ — that's it. The office sees it straight away and can send it to the client as a PDF. No paperwork to hand in.

If something's wrong

"Location needed to submit"
Location is off for the app. Turn it on in your phone settings, then tap Try again. Under a metal roof, step outside for a moment.
Can't sign in
Check you've typed the full work email address. If the password is refused, ring the office — they reset it in seconds.
"…form is not set up yet"
That form isn't live for your account yet. Ring the office and carry on with the rest of the shift.
No signal at the gate
Finish the form and submit once you're back in signal. Don't close the app in the meantime.
Anything urgent
A form is a record, not an alarm. Ring the office or control room first, then log it.
